On managing Fonts on iOS. Why is this happening? Lost of my installed fonts because I didn’t pay attention to this. There has to be a better way. #apple #ios13 #adobe

Question to people here on Micro.blog: what are the choices of themes? Are the ones (nine or so) the only one available? Asking for a friend of mine. 😊

Major snow storm coming in the next 24 hours. More than 30 CM of snow. Winds. I like that!

Here is an insider note, from a blogger. Each and every single morning, I spend about 45-60 minutes doing things related to my blog: writing, reading, researching, bookmarking, designing, thinking. Every single day. It’s a passion I guess. #blogger #bloggerlife #writing 👨🏻💻😎

Is it good for developers or for Apple? Devs prefer to sell two versions (one for iOS, the other for macOS) instead of only one… right? #iosdev #apple Apple adds ability for developers to sell Mac and iOS apps as a single purchase - 9to5Mac

Eventually I’ll have to make a decision. Feature wise, design wise: one of them provide a satisfactory solution. None. And I’m not even talking about pricing. ☹️

From iOS 13.4 beta 1. Amen. Here is a simple question: who thought it was a good idea to redesign the toolbar of Mail.app in iOS 12? Now Apple changed his mind and reverted the redesign introduced in iOS 13. #apple

Yes, @Gruber can be critical to Apple
Who said that @gruber can’t have a critical view of Apple? From his report card; Mac: D. Ouch. He doesn’t like the keyboard and macOS Catalina. iPad: D. Cause: software, again. Apple TV: D. Software. Again. I do agree with Catalina security being too strict and the lack of a more “relaxed mode”. daringfireball.net/2020/02/m… Continue reading →

Now that we’ve got beta1 of iOS 13.4… which includes iCloud Folder Sharing, waiting for horror stories of data corruption and data lost to happen. 🍿 I’m not going to be on board for this round of beta cycle. #ios134beta1

On paying for software
There is a lot of push back about software subscriptions these days it seems. But we should remember about past scams with promised updates for paid software that never came. So many examples of “significant” updates that are merely excuses to charge the user base again. There is no perfect and definitive solutions when it comes to pay for software. It is a matter of trust between the developer and the users or potential customers. Continue reading →

On Gruber on Flexibits on Subscription Pricing
Well, it sounds like he is trying to justify the new and more expansive subscription model for Flexibits and Fantastical. For me, it does take much more than fancy animations to justify the price they ask. A working Apple Watch would help. Daring Fireball: Federico Viticci’s Review of the New Fantastical Continue reading →

Do many things, so,little time
Here is one of my problems: I don’t have enough time in a day to write about all the things I’d like to post here and on my main blog. So many things I would like to write about. One such thing is about my blogger workflow (what tools do I use and why, what platforms, etc.). 🤷🏻♂️ Continue reading →

Learning new things about micro.blog everyday.
Just found out why for longer posts (> 280 characters) a title field shows up while editing my blog post. Nice touch. One thing though, I’d like to have the post categories always shown instead of having to hit the ellipsis button each time. Consider this a feature request. 🙋🏻♂️ Continue reading →

iPadOS Upcoming Multitasking Feature Mockup
This iPadOS multitasking mockup is what Apple should try to do in the next major release. Better yet, I would implement it as a “pinch to merge” two apps when they are close together. If they are far apart, then tap and hold on one app, tap and slide over the other like on the mockup here is good! #apple #iPadOS twitter.com/orange_ki… Continue reading →

How is that possible in 2020: an app that looks good, useful, available for both the iPhone and the iPad, that syncs across them and is a one time purchase? Really? No subscription? Instant buy. Spend Stack. 🥰🙏 apps.apple.com/app/spend…

On the lost of visual richness of software. Super interesting thread by Louie Mantia. Apple fell in the trap of over simplification in the name of what? You tell me. There has to be a middle ground here. #apple twitter.com/Mantia/st…

After so many months here on micro.blog, I think I found my reason to be here. Never too late to get it! My main blog being for long posts, micro.blog for link posts and random thoughts. Make sense? I feel better now. #blogger #blogging
