Just opened Adobe Spark Post to create something and I was greeted with a poll. The first question was how I would feel if Adobe Spark Port was no longer available. 😳😱 That doesn’t bode well for this service.
A by-product of switching to News Explorer, a powerful RSS reader, the deletion of these apps from my iPad. RSS FTW! Review available here: numericcitizen.me/2020/02/2…
Desjardins' modern offices in Montreal's olympic stadium tour
Desjardins, a major financial institution here in Canada, deserving mostly Quebec province and well known for a major data breach they were victim of recently, occupies modern offices near my home. They rented and rearchitected the internal space available in the olympic stadium’s main tour. Impressive. See the link here to have a look. design-milk.com/montreals…
Sometimes I feel that I’m spending more time testing tools and switching my stuff between them than actually doing useful work with them. Currently testing MarsEdit and Notion. Always looking for better tools and services.
Reeder ➡️ News Explorer. numericcitizen.me/2020/02/2…
Finally finished my review of News Explorer, a great RSS feed reader with many goodies.
I don’t know if I’m alone with this behaviour… are you one of these guys who keep unused (or very rarely used) apps on your devices? Do you keep them “just in case you need them”? I’m trying to change this behaviour and I created a folder called “On the way out”. 😳🤔😂😂
Looking to add Google Analytics Widget to my iPad Home Screen - help
Asking my dear network of friends: I’d like to be able to put a widget of Google analytics on my iPad home screen. Do you know of any iOS apps that can do this? I’ll pay for it if the design is up to my taste. Something along the line of this one (which is no longer being maintained). Thanks. 🙏🏻 apps.apple.com/ca/app/ga…
it all comes down to compromise
When so many apps are available for a specific task, choosing one can be a nightmare. Recently, my focus was to select a new calendar app following the release of Fantastical update. I finally settled on the one that I use for a few years now: Calendar 5. The same is happening right now with RSS readers. But this time, I’’m switching from the excellent Reeder app to News Explorer. The latter is not perfect but from a functional point of view, it is an improvement. More on this soon.
You cannot have it all it seems in the RSS reader space. Reeder is a great design example but is lacking a few features. News Explorer has more features but is lacking some design nice touches. 🤷🏻♂️
