Anxiety over #COVID-19 (follow link for details)
Are we at a turning point where there will be a before & after world as we know it? I mean, this shit is here to stay among us for a long time… right? This long streak of economic growth (since 2008) really look to be coming to an end. Young generations will find things, economically speaking, to be harsh from now on and will have to get their shit together when looking for jobs as unemployment will start to be on significant rise… I’m Gen X, I do know what is it like when future is uncertain from a jobs perspective… in case you asked. Full employment may be a thing of the past from now on. We’ll see.

I’m in the last few miles of enduring a very bad cold. Tired. I wonder how is it diffrent than having COVID19. The only thing I didn’t have is fever. Working from home for the last three days.

Hard for me to get over someone liking one of my tweet dating back to 2016. 😳

Here is a very personal one: getting older is accepting things that are profoundly irritating about how we lose abilities. One example: typing on the on-screen keyboard on my iPhone is getting harder and produce too much typing errors. 😔

Thought of the day: If I had to return as an indie iOS developer like I was back in 2009-2013, I would design and build a Micro.blog client. Why? Because none of them right now are satisfactory to me.

Interesting small new app: Tot from iconfactory. More interesting though: free on Mac. One time purchase on iOS. iCloud sync. See the trick? I like this. Clever. It could have been the other way around too. But I’ll stay with my current tools. tot.rocks

On bookmarking apps and services
Bookmarking apps and services like Pinboard are great but they offer limited features… (I was a user of Pocket before). For me, I decided to use more versatile tools like Notion.io instead. More complete, deeper learning curve but way more than bookmarking service. (I was evaluating Raindrop.io but stopped because of lack of support of multitasking on iPadOS. I wrote the developer about it. Still didn’t get a response). alanralph.co.uk/3721-2/

Just opened Adobe Spark Post to create something and I was greeted with a poll. The first question was how I would feel if Adobe Spark Port was no longer available. 😳😱 That doesn’t bode well for this service.

A by-product of switching to News Explorer, a powerful RSS reader, the deletion of these apps from my iPad. RSS FTW! Review available here: numericcitizen.me/2020/02/2…

Desjardins' modern offices in Montreal's olympic stadium tour
Desjardins, a major financial institution here in Canada, deserving mostly Quebec province and well known for a major data breach they were victim of recently, occupies modern offices near my home. They rented and rearchitected the internal space available in the olympic stadium’s main tour. Impressive. See the link here to have a look. design-milk.com/montreals…

Sometimes I feel that I’m spending more time testing tools and switching my stuff between them than actually doing useful work with them. Currently testing MarsEdit and Notion. Always looking for better tools and services.
