  • Dear Apple, please, fix this. Thanks you.

  • Finally sold my Nikon D750 with the kit lens on the second try on eBay and shipped today! The buyer got a really good deal. 😊

  • With Omnivore, these are the tags that cover 99% of my tagging needs.

  • Today was the day when I got rid of this little baby. It was a great looking computer. I gave it to a local tech refurbishing store1. RIP 2007-2017.

  • Each week, I try to discover a new photographer on Glass. It’s fun and stimulating. I share the discovery on my weekly creative summary newsletter, just for you to know.

  • I generally prefer high-contrast images when doing black & white photography. What do you think?

  • Posted a photo on my Ko-fi page this morning. It’s for supporters only. I shared some thoughts about street photography. I decided to use that page to share more personal stories that I don’t share elsewhere. It’s only the beginning. It will take time to open up more. It’s a journey.

  • My old camera is up for sale on eBay (link). Just saying. If interested, let’s talk hello@numericcitizen.me. Tell me you saw this on Micro.blog (or Mastodon / Bluesky).

  • I rarely do and share selfies! But here’s one. Walking on the “Promenade des anglais” in Nice, France.

  • Auto-generated description: A computer setup with a black monitor, white keyboard, and mouse on a desk next to a brown speaker.

In this image, according to AI bot, the 2013 Mac Pro is brown… a brown speaker! 😂

  • Calling for suggestions: I’d like to back up my iCloud Photos Library content locally on my Synology NAS, but I don’t want to use the built-in “Download Originals to this Mac” of Apple Photos. Any utility that does that? Thanks!

  • Today I might have hit the max my M1 Mac mini could give me: while exporting my video in ScreenFlow, I was editing a photo in Photomator. The latter couldn’t keep up with me trying different settings on my image.

  • More than half of my planned errands for the weekend is already completed! It’s a rather productive day. One thing that I did that wasn’t planned at all: doing photography! That’s my bike that I bought last year[^1]!

  • On Comfort Zones

Today, I’ll bring my camera to the office1, as I’m declaring myself as the official photographer for the two-day yearly sales kickoff event. I’ll take photos of humans, which is not my cup of tea, but I need to try it more and get out of my comfort zone. Usually my problem while … read more

  • Taking photos of decorative materials with the iPhone is really tricky. The automatic white balance makes everything look wrong and we cannot trust the photo to reproduce what we actually saw and perceived. How are designers doing with their phones?

  • I’m currently working on building a creator dashboard in Craft and it’s fun but Craft is rather limited compared to Notion. I’m working on an upcoming video about that! Stay tuned.

  • Went outside today for lunch and took my camera1 with me. What a good idea it was. I like this a lot because it is an opportunity to take a mental break from work. When I’m coming back to work, I’m more enthusiastic.

    1. Nikon Zf with a 44mm F2 lens. Great combo. ↩︎

  • A long time ago, around iOS 7, I played with my iPad to do some mockups, like this one: a redesigned Settings.app.

  • For the first time since its release1, I’m using iCloud Shared Photo Library with my wife for the home improvement project. It’s really well done and fits perfectly my needs.

    1. Released with iOS 16 in 2022. ↩︎

  • In Search of a New and Optimized Photo Processing Workflow

Now that I’m no longer in Adobe’s ecosystem for my photo processing needs, I depend on Photomator and Synology Photos. I need to create an optimized workflow: upload photos to Synology1, browse and tag the pictures I want to process using Synology Photos tags, then edit them in … read more
