it all comes down to compromise

When so many apps are available for a specific task, choosing one can be a nightmare. Recently, my focus was to select a new calendar app following the release of Fantastical update. I finally settled on the one that I use for a few years now: Calendar 5. The same is happening right now with RSS readers. But this time, I’’m switching from the excellent Reeder app to News Explorer. The latter is not perfect but from a functional point of view, it is an improvement. More on this soon.

You cannot have it all it seems in the RSS reader space. Reeder is a great design example but is lacking a few features. News Explorer has more features but is lacking some design nice touches. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes, just sometimes, I would like to go back in time, way before today. Just to see and feel what it was like before our numeric society. I know that I wouldn’t have to go very far in time but… just before any computers existed. This photo is from Havana, Cuba.

This Lightroom CC update seems a bit uninteresting on the surface but I’ll give it a close look, we never know. You can see by these update notes what type of customers Adobe wants to please and attract. Stay tuned for more comments. #photographer #adobe #lightroom

This keyboard fiasco is here with us for many many years to come. Can you imagine how bad second hand MacBook price will be after Apple is done replacing them in their product line? They will go downhill for sure. 😱#apple #keyboardfiasco MacSparky

Another day, another 15cm of snow here downtown in Montreal, Canada. We have a very well known song here that says “My country is not a crounty, it is simply winter”. This is the kind of day. Photo processed with Apple’s Photos.app on iMac. #montreal #canada #winter #snow
